We are getting all geared up for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2013 which will take place in Derry from the 11th-18th August 2013 We will be performing as part of the FleadhLive series which will see the world’s best traditional Irish musicians perform in a series of shows broadcast live and direct from the Fleadh Cheoil in Derry from Wednesday 14th-Sunday 18th August daily on TG4, www.tg4.tv and www.FleadhCheoil.ie
FleadhLive will include performances from some of the biggest names on the international world/folk music scene, interspersed with impromptu music lifted off the street by visiting musicians and winners of Fleadh competitions. Each Fleadh Live show will be hosted by top TG4 television personality, Síle Ní Bhraonáin and and traditional Irish music legend, Gino Lupari, and will take the format of iconic live music programmes such as Later… with Jools Holland and Top of the Pops, with multiple performance spaces and energetic live audiences. Fleadh Live will be broadcast from 8 – 11pm every night from 14th – 18th August live on TG4,www.tg4.tv and www.FleadhCheoil.ie
We are delighted to be part of a new CD/DVD Ark of Tides by our old music and dance teacher Dinny McLaughlin produced in association with the Inishowen Traditional Music Project. The launch will take place during the Fleadh Cheoil at St Columb’s Hall at 8pm on Wed 14th August. There will also be a special concert called ’Fiddlers of Aileach’ as part of ‘A Gathering of Traditions’ as part of the Fleadh where Dinny will perform with past pupils and friends on Saturday 17th August at 1pm in The Glassworks.
